Update September 11, 2017

Zippered Pouches--Please make sure to check the zippered pouch each day.  We will be writing a sentence in our Agendas daily.  Please sign the agenda each day.  It allows the students to practice using their agendas.  All homework, notes, etc. will be in the zippered pouch.

Morning Work—Incomplete morning work will be sent home on Friday to be completed and returned to school on Monday.

Picture Day is September 18.  We do start first thing in the morning and often with the childcare programs.  We will be doing 'traditional' class photos where all students are placed together and a photo taken, so.... if there are any students away for picture day they will not be able to be placed into the class photo.  Order forms usually come home on photo day with all information required to order photos.

Rally Sunday--All of our families are invited to attend our Kick-off & Rally Sunday at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church located at 1541 St. Mary's Road on Sunday, September 17 at 10:30 am.  We start with a church service where the staff and school board members are installed to carry out the Lord's work at our school and with our children.  The church service is followed by a BBQ in the church yard.  Please bring your own chair and if possible a dessert to share.  (Church members are bringing a salad)  Everything else is provided!

The book fair will be open at lunch time and after school upon request for students to purchase books provided by Scholastic.  Literacy Fundraising envelopes were due last week but can still be handed in.  Prize draws happen on Thursday evening.

Spring Concert--Thursday, June 8 with a Canadian theme!  The concert will begin at 6:30 with students being required to be here by 5:45.  This will also be the finale for our Book Fair and Literacy Event.  There will be a Book Fair in the gym for parents to view and purchase books. Please bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on as this event will (hopefully) be held outside. Our theme is Canada's 150th Birthday so please dress in red and white and "Canada" accessories. Don't forget to bring your violin!
